They were each other’s sanctuary and I just can’t help but feel EVERY SINGLE BIT of emotion that I can gather while reading about them.įox Pahlavi is the best brother I could ever think of (and dream of having). They really complement each other, and it was evident all throughout, until the the last page. Despite being runaways, they accepted all the danger they might have face, and they trusted each other’s capabilities. Their love was intense, not selfish and is always forgiving and willing to sacrifice. Their relationship kind of reminded me of Rhysand and Feyre. His years of combat training and mastery in rune magic proved to be useful in crafting battle strategies, but moreover, his love for Tea made him the best protector the dark asha could ever have. Kalen, being an outstanding Deathseeker chose to protect Tea over his nobility. Tea defied legends, traditions and more superior magic because her actions were fueled by her eagerness to protect and save what she loves, and she inspires me in so many levels. She was questioned and feared because of her capabilities, but she was so brave and I am truly honored to have known her story. Tea would be one of my most favorite MC’s from now on. This series gave us a diverse set of characters and each of their colorful personalities contribute to the whole fun element of reading the series. I can’t begin to tell you how attached I am to these characters, for every battle and journey they had, I felt like I was with them. This book gave me all the roller coaster of emotions I did not know I needed and I was completely blown away. The conflict of the whole series goes beyond the character’s personal motives, as it’s weaved to the whole universe’s legends, power, relationship and group status. I must say, all the chapters were necessary. The story was told in two converging plot lines and every chapter will keep you on edge. The Shadowglass is a full-packed, explosive series-ender and I kid myself by expecting I was ready for it. The first two books had their own share of plot twists and revelations, but the most exciting thing about series finales is how it can answer all the hanging questions and how it should wrap things up for the characters.
